Stephen Ministry provides confidential, one-to-one Christian care for those experiencing a difficult or challenging season of life. Stephen Ministers are trained members of our Cathedral congregation who are there to listen, care, encourage, pray, and walk alongside you.
Whether you are grieving a loss, navigating a major life change, facing illness, or simply going through a difficult time, you don’t have to walk alone.

Is Stephen Ministry for Me?
Stephen Ministry is for people experiencing a difficult or challenging season of life, and that can look different for everyone.
You might benefit from the care of a Stephen Minister if you are experiencing:
Grief or the loss of someone you love
Divorce, separation, or relationship changes
Illness, hospitalization, or recovery
Caregiving for a loved one
Job loss or uncertainty at work
Retirement or another major life transition
Family difficulties or loneliness
A season when life simply feels heavier than usual

What Does a Stephen Minister Do?
A Stephen Minister isn't there to solve your problems or tell you what to do. They are there to walk alongside you.
Stephen Ministers receive extensive training to provide one-to-one Christian care. They listen without judgment, offer encouragement, pray with and for you, and provide a consistent, caring presence during a difficult season.
Sometimes one of the greatest gifts we can receive is simply having someone willing to listen.

What Happens When I Reach Out?
When you contact Stephen Ministry, one of our trained Stephen Leaders will connect with you to learn a little about what you're experiencing and talk with you about whether a Stephen Minister would be a good fit.
If you move forward, you'll be matched with a trained Stephen Minister who will meet with you one-to-one to listen, pray, encourage, and walk alongside you through your season of difficulty.
