The Cathedral Church of St. Luke has a rich history of providing intercessors who offer healing prayer ministry during Eucharist services. Our healing prayer ministry is primarily led and served by members of the Order of St. Luke (OSL), with faithful support from the Daughters of the King (DoK).

The Order of St. Luke: Our Heritage and Ministry

History: The International Order of St. Luke the Physician (OSL) was founded in 1932 by the Reverend John Gaynor Banks and his wife, Ethel Tulloch Banks, at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church in San Diego, California. Originally started as a fellowship to restore the healing ministry of Jesus Christ to its proper place in the church, it grew into an international, ecumenical order dedicated to studying and practicing Christian healing.

Ideology & Mission: OSL is rooted in the belief that Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever—and that His ministry of healing physical, emotional, and spiritual wholeness is just as active today as it was in the Gospels. Embracing the gifts of the Holy Spirit, OSL members, clergy, and laity alike are called to intercede for the sick and broken, recognizing that every believer has a vital part in Christ's healing mission.

Monthly Healing Service: Join us every 3rd Tuesday of the month at 6pm for our dedicated OSL Healing Service. Whether you are seeking physical, emotional, or spiritual healing for yourself or a loved one, come experience the power of focused prayer and God’s restoring grace. All are welcome.

Our Prayer Ministries

The Order of St. Luke (OSL): An ecumenical ministry focused on the Christian healing mission of Jesus, offering intercessory prayer for physical, emotional, and spiritual wholeness.

The Daughters of the King (DOK): A spiritual sisterhood of women dedicated to a life-long Rule of Prayer, Service, and Evangelism, supporting the parish's healing intercessors and praying daily for our clergy and congregation.
