Current Service Opportunities
Blankets for the Homeless
Even in Orlando nights can be chilly in December and January. The Cathedral collects blankets to distribute to the homeless downtown. Bring donated or purchased blankets to the Great Hall. If you prefer, you may also write a check made out to “The Cathedral Church of St. Luke” to support the ministry ($5 per blanket, please put “blanket” in the memo). Bill Jones will collect blanket donations during the 9am Dean’s Hour.
Hurricane Relief for the Caribbean and Puerto Rico
Many are still without power and the basic necessities due to the devastation of Hurricanes Irma and Maria in the Caribbean and Puerto Rico. If you are interested in helping the relief efforts for those hit the hardest in those areas, bins are available in the Great Hall to drop off donations of wipes, diapers, and other toiletries. If you prefer to make a monetary donation, visit the Diocesan website for more information. http://www.cfdiocese.org
