"What Christians Believe" Dean Reggie Kidd and Canon Josh Bales will be team teaching this brief series on the basics of the Christian faith. Whether you are a new believer or a longtime person of faith, this class will assist you in drawing closer to Jesus Christ by learning about God's Story: Creation, Fall, Redemption, and Response.
Monthly Fellowship Breakfast
On the first Sunday of each month, the Cathedral hosts a parish-wide breakfast in the Great Hall at 9 a.m. This breakfast is a wonderful way to enjoy food and fellowship with the people of God. All proceeds from the Fellowship Breakfasts support our EYC Youth program and their mission to Our Little Roses in Honduras.
Mid-Week Christian Education
Wednesdays: EAT, PRAY, GROW
Each Wednesday night in the Fall and Spring semesters we gather to eat, pray, and grow together as a parish. Come early at 5:45 p.m. for Evening Prayer in the Armed Forces Chapel. Then enjoy dinner in the Great Hall at 6:15 p.m. Various classes take place immediately following at 7 p.m. And the evening concludes with praying together the brief Office of Compline from the Book of Common Prayer at 7:50 p.m. This season’s Wednesday night offerings include a study of the book of Galatians by Canon Josh Bales (in Saint Mary's Parlor), and a book study, by Dean Reggie Kidd, of Shusaku Endo's "Silence," a masterpiece of historical fiction exploring the theme of God's silence during the realities of loneliness, alienation, and despair. This book was recently made into a feature film and has sparked much discussion on the topic of Christianity around the world.
